Twice in past 24 hours, key will not come out when car is put in park and turned off. We tried jiggling the wheel and restarting, shifting out and back into park. Key eventually comes out.

When you want to get out of "Park", put your foot on the brake pedal, move gear shifter into desired gear, THEN take down Parking Brake. If you get stuck (gear shifter doesn't move), then try the "rocking" method (recruit 1 or 2 folks to push your car from behind while you try to move gear shifter into desired gear). Something that might help also would be to gently apply the parking brake (keep your finger on the release button so it won't set) for a short distance just before parking the car. That will heat and dry both the shoes and drums and remove moisture that causes the rusting.
