Kody24 Discussion starter. 754 posts · Joined 2016. #1 · May 8, 2018. Picked up a used mec 600 jr 20 gauge shotshell loader. For $40 it's missing the charge bar and powder and shot vials. Is it worth picking up new vials, $9 on amazon and a charge bar and trying to trade it for a 12 gauge loader?

The entire circumference seems to be affected by the resizing process. I am currently using up the last of my old CF AA hulls, but the newer HS hulls have the same issues.I load 12, 16 and 20 ga. on MEC 600 Jr. Mk5 machines. Probably in excess of 40K shells on the 12 ga. I've never experienced the malfunction you describe. Sounds like it was not properly tightened at the factory. I believe I would try Thread-Lock or some other alternative to drilling/tapping for a #2 screw. Bruce.

The current style allows the 8300 wad guides to slide right into the rod. The old version you had to unsrew a cap and take out the orange wad guide fingers and put the new one in screwing the cap back on to lock in the wad guide. For use on the following presses ONLY. I have 600 Jr. die sets for all of the gauges and use them as needed. The die sets are easy to switch out. It usually takes about 10 minutes once you get up on the learning curve.
