Nope. Same firing order on the V8's for literally Decades. Make sure you've gapped the spark plugs correctly. Make sure there is spark coming to the plugs. Make sure the distributor cap is seated properly. Make sure the firing order is correct by using the "tabs" on the sides of the cap to get your bearings as to where #1 is.

Bronco newbie here again looking for the firing order for the 2.9 motor. Most of the under-hood stickers are gone. The p.o. replaced the dist. cap and left the dist bolt loose, so I figure the timing is out. Also one of the cap screws is broken off in the dist housing. Looks like I'm removing the distributor to remove the broken screw.
