The Dragonbone weapon recipes are easy to make a suicide run for. From the Arena obelisk you will be near a giant pit. drop down onto the closest support beam, then drop onto the mezzanine, then run like hell down the stairs and straight towards the obelisk. For the weapons, other than the mace I like them all, but my favorite is the 2H sword.
