From my personal experience from using the Cold Divinity, it good for beating a few of the mechs, but it isn't the best for especially Brimstone Elemental, but it is decent against her. Also would recommend to fight Brimstone Elemental and Aquatic Scourge before the mechs as it gives you access to great weapons. 4.

Don’t listen to the other two, the entropies vigil might do a little less on a defenseless target, but the moment the enemy has 3 defense, the entropies vigil will do more. It also goes through walls AND inflicts a debuff. Its good but IMO Mounted Scanner (post skeletron prime draedon arsenal weapon) is way better.
