I've easily played through 1 and 2 about 6 times each. Play Swtor online, free game, unlimited hours đź‘ŤOne of my friends also only had played the second game and told me "Hey, I heard that in KOTOR I, you play as Revan!" I thought, whoa, that's awesome! I heard about that guy so much in KOTOR II, I wanna know more about his story. So I picked it up as soon as I can. Only then did I realize that that was supposed to be a twist.

I hate when someone tells me "oh this movie is so good, there is a great twist at the end, you'll see !". Because I will expect it and think about it while watching the movie, and when it will be revealed, it won't surprise me as if I didn't know there was a twist. I have not played KOTOR yet and didn't know it has a twist.The good news is that KotOR has enough going on that the twist is almost as much fun when you know it in advance- the foreshadowing and thematic loops are everywhere in this game, and delightfully so.

Idk if you know, but the twist is not the end of the game. More like 70-75%. Think like Kotor is split into three parts that represent three films of a trilogy. Like how the "i am your father" twist from the original trilogy occurs at the end of the second film.
content restored kotor 2 is the peak for me, much prefer it to kotor 1 and i like kotor 1 a lot. and yeah the twist is fine, like most twist people twig things before they happen all the time, a solid twist in a plot doesn't diminish it if it's properly set up. it might hurt your first time, but there's a reason people replay it.
