We recommend going down the Cataclysm path, as it makes Maya much better in Solo, and you will majorly be playing solo during the start. Along with that build, try and get elemental weapons, especially SMGs, that make Maya almost untouchable in Borderlands 2

Aim at the ground so it ricochets into Terra's eyes, and stand in that special spot behind that rock. No sweat. It is possible, but it is pretty difficult. One way to help out is to damage the tentacles pretty well without killing them, then use them for second winds, though I'm not sure how effective that actually is.

Sweet Release is always useful. I much prefer it over Mind's Eye. The crit bonus of Mind's Eye is nice, sometimes I get it too, but melee becomes useless in UVHM as Maya. I guess it's more useful if you're playing solo. For healing, I basically throw longbow storm front then swtich to my grog to get my hp back.

She's my go-to for Digistruct because she straight up shits on ppl, and gets health back while doing so. It's like playing a contained and precise Krieg.Imo, borderlands 2 is much more defense focused until you acquire awesome guns and even then, enemies can still down you with one rocket or some quick bullets to the dome.
