I think it should also be said that since Made in Heaven relies on acceleration, if you catch Pucci early enough the difference between Normal-Speed and New-Speed wouldn't be too great yet. Its been awhile since I read part 6, but if I reemeber correctly Pucci didn't show himself immediately after gaining Made in Heaven.
