Without testing or access to game files (Xbox player) it seems like a redundant upgrade. It does have a visual effect so you could keep it for that (AI pilot from Anomaly appears as sort of camera attached to Minotaur head). 4.Ultimately the minotaur is pretty useless except for maybe really really (really) early game. I'm way way in so It might even be a case of, by the time you CAN get it, you DON'T need it. Don't get me wrong I love NMS but let's be honest the Minotaur is a novelty item at best.

I can confirm you do not need the AI auto pilot after getting the sentinel boby the head part is its own AI Part. And if it's the AI pilot you keep, you'll revert to the normal Minotaur body.
