The problem may be that the resistance is too high, not too low. LEDs are lower wattage, meaning higher resistance. Try putting a 15 ohm resistor in parallel with the light. To test this turn on the turn signal and put each side of the resistor across both sides of the connector. Turned out the connections had a bit of surface oxidation, and remove & reinstall fixed it. Was going to replace the bulbs, but now my sense of adventure is piqued.

I changed out the rear turn signals with some canbus correct they have a chip built into the base, they stopped the hyper flash on the rest of the turn signals. the cost on Amazon was about $7 and change, much cheaper than any of the good resisters and no over heating. A resistor will in essence trick the computer that the proper amount of voltage is being used, so no hyper flash.
