The Concert Grand line which had it's last gasp in this time frame was Magnavox's high end lineup. Those were very powerful for consoles and had open reel recorders and/or 8 track. The little speaker is also coded as Magnavox production with a 51st week of 1958 production date code. The stereo was likely built in February of 1959.
The electronics in your 288 look to be the same as those in the Model 295 I have. Amp150, and tuner/preamp 5201, and the Collaro changer.
