Mine when floored would reach 20mph and then rev the engine up, but the only way to get it to go any faster was completely letting off the throttle and pushing it again, it seemed to shift and will definitley go full top speed after that.

I also use low to load on the trailer and for the 10 mph I do until I'm out of camp. If read the owners manual it recommends low speed in low during brake in. Im not constantly driving around in low @40 mph. Low range is easier on the belt.Experience is the best teacher. Low is to save the belt and give much better slow speed throttle control. As for how fast in low, watch the tach. If the engine is revving up, go to high. Remember to stop to change range. A little experience and it will become second nature. I am going to check if it has a spacer in the primary to see if I can get a little more out of it. I also have a 2013 ranger mid 800 and it tops out at 58mph@6500rpm. FYI the spacer for the midsize is in the secondary.
